Keck Furniture: A Legacy of Family, Service, and Style

I recently had the incredible opportunity to spend quality time with Joan and Hannah Beyer, the mother-and-daughter duo behind Keck Furniture. As we chatted, I was instantly captivated by their passion for the business, its employees, and its rich history.

Hannah Beyer, a lifelong member of the Kecks family and a local resident, shared her heartfelt childhood memories of growing up around Kecks. Her ties to the store are profound, from assisting on Maxwell Street Days to spending her hard-earned money at Kohl's. Keck's is not just a business to her; it's a treasured part of her family legacy.

Joan and Hannah radiate a genuine warmth and camaraderie that's truly infectious. Their love for their family extends to their employees, fostering a supportive and enjoyable work

environment. They've successfully intertwined their personal lives with their professional

endeavors, making Kecks an extraordinary place.

One of the standout features of Keck Furniture is its unwavering commitment to exceptional customer service. They have broadened their services to include interior design, aiding clients in swiftly transforming their spaces. Their expertise is priceless, from choosing the perfect paint color to arranging furniture layouts and beyond, all with a personal touch.

As I explored the store, I was struck by its historical allure. With its tin ceilings and tamarack log floor joists, the building is a living testament to the past. Keck Furniture has been a cornerstone of the community since 1853, enduring economic challenges and adapting to the times while upholding its commitment to quality and service.

Seeing the next generation of Beyers stepping up is truly inspiring. Ryan, Will, and Hannah are already integral parts of the team, ensuring that the Keck legacy lives on. Joan's wise advice to her children – to stay true to what works and remain deeply connected to the community – is a testament to the enduring values that have made Kecks a beloved institution.

Kecks Furniture is more than just a store; it's a tourist destination. With its rich history, friendly atmosphere, and exceptional service, it's no wonder people from near and far are dedicated Keck customers. ~Jody Purtell
